Wednesday 7th February
Hamas proposes a three-stage ceasefire plan. According to Reuters Hamas also stated that their proposal would see a complete rebuilding of Gaza and ensure all Israeli forces are withdrawn from the region. Furthermore, an exchange of bodies and remains would also take place. (Reuters)
In a press conference, Benjamin Netanyahu seemed to be indicating he would not accept the proposal by Hamas saying that Israel will “never look back until we complete our task”. (Sky News)
The US military confirmed it was behind a drone strike that killed a “Kataib Hezbollah commander responsible for directly planning and participating in attacks on US forces in the region.” (Sky News)
Thursday 8th February
A report from Special Counsel Robert Hur has brought up the topic of Joe Biden’s memory saying that the 81-year-old president was “poor”. It also later went on to mention that Biden did not agree with some of Obama’s decisions such as sending 30,000 us troops to Afghanistan. Finally, the report mentions that classified documents relating to the War in Afghanistan were stored in Mr Biden’s home in Delaware. (BBC News)

Friday 9th February
US president has hinted that he thinks Israel’s military response has been “over the top” as the death toll nears 28,000 according to the Hamas-run Gaza health ministry. (Sky News)
Netanyahu has ordered the evacuation of citizens from Rafah, a large settlement in the south of the Gaza Strip that has been inundated with people felling the violence in the north. The Prime Minister has ordered the country’s military to prepare to evacuate the population of southern Gaza ahead of an expected ground offensive. (Sky News)
US President Joe Biden has stated that his memory is “fine” after a report by Special Counsel Robert Hur was published the day before. (BBC News)

The death and injury toll in Gaza has crossed 28,064 and 67,611 respectively according to the Hamas-run health ministry. (Sky News)
Israeli strikes in the city of Rafah, a ‘safe zone’ for the people in Gaza, have killed 44 people including a three-month-old baby. (AP)

Sunday 11th February
Hamas officials have said that a Rafah offensive will ‘blow up’ hostage talks as Israel looks to get their remaining 100 hostages that Hamas are believed to have. (Sky News)
Israel has struck the Gaza city of Rafah killing 67 people and wounding dozens more as they retrieve 2 hostages. (AP)
Netanyahu has turned a blind eye to calls to not launch an offensive on Rafah, which is believed to house at least four Hamas battalions, as international pressure rises with U.S. President Joe Biden speaking to Netanyahu today saying that he should not continue with the offensive until they have a credible plan on how to evacuate the over one million people who are in and around the city. Also, mentioning the progress made for the release of the hostages should not be lost. (Sky News)
Donald Trump has said he ‘encourages’ Russia to attack non-playing NATO Allies. Citing the countries that do not pay their way as the ones he will not come to the aid of if he becomes U.S. President at the end of this year. (BBC News)
