Monday 12th

The people in the city of Gaza are terrified of a possible ground operation in the city conducted by the Israeli military. The city that, before the conflict, was home to around 250,000 people has now ballooned to over 1.2 million people. (BBC News)

Tuesday 13th

Russia has lost more than 3,000 main battle tanks since its illegal invasion of Ukraine over two years ago. (Sky News)

The U.S. Senate has passed an aid package worth $95bn (£75bn). This vast sum has been divided up among Ukraine ($60bn), Israel ($14bn), humanitarian aid ($10bn), and Taiwan ($8bn). Some of the humanitarian aid is set to go to Gaza. (BBC News)

Four Armenian soldiers are killed and many others are injured by Azerbaijani troops as the two countries continue to be engaged in a border dispute. (Reuters)

Wednesday 14th

One person has died and 21 people have been injured after a shooting took place in Missouri after the Kansas City Chiefs finished their victory parade after winning the Super Bowl. (BBC News)

Thursday 15th

11 people were killed in Israeli strikes on southern Lebanon. Three children are among those killed. Reposts from the scene state that buildings were on fire after the strikes. (Sky News)

Donald Trump could face a fine of around $370m as prosecutors have asked the judge to fine him. This is a legal battle that has been taking place regarding Trump’s actions when he inflated the value of his assets to receive more money from lenders. (BBC News)

Israel has said that it has captured dozens of terrorists during a raid on southern Gaza’s main hospital. The director of the hospital told the BBC that the conditions inside were “catastrophic and very dangerous.” (AP)

The U.S. has reported that Russia is developing a new anti-satellite weapon. It is being suggested that the satellite would be armed with nuclear weapons to target satellites. (BBC News)

Friday 16th

“Putin is responsible,” claims US President Joe Biden, as one of Putin’s most vocal critics, Alexei Navalny, has been reported dead in a Siberian prison. (BBC News)

Volodymyr Zelensky made a trip to Berlin and Paris to sign a security agreement with the two respected countries. (The New York Times)

Saturday 17th

Alexei Navalny’s team has confirmed that he has died and that his mother is searching for his body, accusing Russia of hiding it. (BBC News)

Russia says it has taken the Ukrainian city of Avdiivka after the Ukrainian troop withdrawal over the past few days. (AP)

Israeli leader Benjamin Netanyahu has said, “Whoever is telling us not to operate in Rafah is telling us to lose the war.” The idea of a large military operation in the city looks more and more likely. (Sky News)

Sunday 18th

The World Health Organisation (WHO) says that Gaza’s Nasser Hospital is no longer functioning after Israel raided it and launched a week-long siege on it. (BBC News) 

Over 400 people have been arrested in Russia for paying tribute to one of Putin’s biggest critics, Alexei Navalny, who died in prison on Friday. Many Russians had hoped to vote for Navalny in a bid to see a shakeup of Russian leadership. (AP)

Just days after being hit with a $354m fine, Donald Trump has brought out his own line of Hi-Top trainers that will retail for $399 per pair. (Sky News)

Denmark has announced that it will donate all of its artillery shells to Ukraine. (The Telegraph)
